MAIN HALL BANNERS
THIS BANNER SERIES uses light as a symbol of knowledge across time, with a flame, a contemporary light source, and an abstract glow representing West Chester University's past, present, and future. Inspired by the university's history and commitment to the arts and humanities, the work explores how education preserves knowledge, inspires action, and strengthens communities. As a recent graduate, the project is especially meaningful as an opportunity to leave behind a lasting contribution to the campus that shaped my own journey.
Like most of my ideas, I start with a good pencil and paper; getting my thoughts out is the first step. I then can. Begin to plan my process.
Having previously received the honor of designing the same banners for the 2024-2025 school year, I knew I wanted to go about it differently. Those first banners of mine were all done in Illustrator using more basic techniques. For these, however, I wanted the challenge of using illustration through Procreate and Photoshop to achieve the look I wanted.
Second round edits made; client wanted to not just use purple and gold, dive deeper into the details, and add more negative space to each panel.
Final Banners
As a graduating senior, this project holds personal significance as a full-circle moment in my time at West Chester University. Having the opportunity to contribute work to campus again allows me to reflect on my own growth as a designer while leaving behind something that future students can experience. The theme of past, present, and future closely mirrors my own journey, making this project both meaningful and memorable.

Oldies but goodies
The theme for the 2024 school year is “The Beauty of Human Creativity and the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. I wanted to show that embracing the changes of whatever lies ahead is the only way through. Highlighting the similarities of the invention of photography, art, and humanity with prevail, shifting into new and exciting forms.
